Amy, I so needed to read this today. I’ll be in the Strong, Curious, and Innovative seating on the Apocalyptic Amtrak with my support hounds. I’ll have the donuts with cappuccino. The donuts are for Mesa.
I am equipped with chocolate and popcorn. Oh, and don’t forget the Fluoxatine chaser. CBD is TLC. The neurodivergent will lead us. That’s all I got. Will you be teaching the Earth School: Apocalyptic Masterclass with zombies and other Signs of Intelligent Life? Thank you. Leave donations in the hat.
You are super prepared! I just hope Mesa knows she has to share those donuts 🤣. I will be teaching a Master Class, but spoiler alert, I'll be making it up as I go along. All donations go into the official donut replenishment fund. XO 🥰❤️
I can bake donuts, as long as there are ingredients and something to make heat I'll be gladly keeping anyone nourished on the food side. The company brings the nourishment from the soul side.
School Crossing Guard for the little ones in primary school. You wore a uniform of some kind and had this cute thing police men have to control traffic with. I felt sooooo important.
Will your feline fam be accompanying you? The meowre the merrier. I love cats but am a bit of an allergy. All welcome. Maybe we will build an Ark of loving kindness and Bread!
Absolutely, Monty will join! In his four years, he’s been through as many twists and turns as I have. An Ark of Loving Kindness and Bread sounds like just the place for us—snacks and knock-knock jokes in tow, of course. Let’s make it a haven for resilience and laughter!
Love this, Amy… you’re a practical no nonsense girl! I’m with you all the way…finding work arounds, making noise. Staying positive and choosing how best to adapt. Leaning on my Aussie and Belgium families to give me accurate info from their perspective. Their Door is open but I’m staying put to face trouble… good trouble as John Lewis said! Thanks for your fighting spirit, giving me hope and solidarity! Onward! 🇺🇸💙🇺🇸
Yes, onward! Into the sort of known is better than the complete unknown. This is the time when we dive into our creativity because when people are tearing things down, we build them back up stronger. XO 🥰❤️
Hi Nancy, I am so glad this was helpful for you, and thank you for your condolences about my husband. I've been reading a lot of posts about people feeling depressed and powerless after the election and I wanted to remind people that we are not helpless. Necessity is the mother of all invention and desperate times call for desperate measures. Sometimes catastrophic loss can act as a catalyst for meaningful change and new perspectives.
Wow! When I saw the result I couldn’t believe it. I think that it’s best you sit with the other adults and be ready to act when the wheels fall off the coach. Naturally the children will be shouting and screaming that it’s all your fault for not believing hard enough.
The rest of the worlds is still in “what tha F just happened” mode. Over here in the UK I’m hoping we’ll become closer to Europe again. Brexit, as predicted, has been the mother of all F ups, causing some very substantial ongoing problems.
The Brexit misinformation “machine” was used by TFG and his team as the basis for the widespread disinformation used to to secure his first presidency.
I am assuming that the use of the Starlink system for routing the electronic votes had nothing to do with results. I’m glad I’m writing this, as it’s difficult to say it with my tongue so firmly in my cheek.
Ugh, Brexit! Blah, Trump! Godspeed to you as well! "I'll see you on the other side of the war." (that's a line from the musical Hamilton between the title character and Aaron Burr)
Hi Amy! Donuts all around. (Sorry.😊) My phone is truncating messages today too. Annoying! I’m coming to your house, bringing hot chocolate and maybe some whiskey, my emotional support beverage. We’ll carry on, because that’s what badass women do. Hugs!🥰💕❤️🫶
We choose to survive and we choose on what terms. As you know, Amy, I have deep respect for your strength and resilience, not because those virtues were luxury accessories held in reserve, but because when the time came to exercise them, you chose to face the hard realities that made those virtues a necessity, when the other option was the Darkness.
I also believe we all have reserves of strength and resilience. I know in my own life, I reached a point where I thought my strength to persevere was exhausted and I chose the Darkness. Others vetoed my choice, so here I am, inspired by you to not give up in the face of adversity.
How can you enjoy writing when you never make typos? Your drafts are always perfect. I reread mine and shrivel, but convince myself that the odds are good that I will someday pluck all those noxious weeds from the garden of my prose and on that day, I will hit send and still find a few typos that stand burning like the fire of a thousand raging suns, but only a few.
I’m probably just doomed to typo, but somewhere between a quarter and a half of my typos are fights with autocorrect. I write something. Autocorrect waits until a nanosecond before I hit send and changes it to something weird. Then it’s too late.
Never forget that AI is autocorrect on steroids. Part of me is thinking about getting an old IBM Selectric to free myself from the Matrix.
Dear Any, thank you! I am glad to be part of the Team. As I am a kid of the 80s music wise, I like Final Countdown as song. Yet, somehow it‘s quite patriarchal. How about Venus Unbound…?
I have such a hard time on the app! I think in my case it's my bad farsightedness that messes me up. Of course you would be on our team no matter what, but I never say no to chocolate cake XO 🥰❤️
After 53 years living with multiple trauma thrust upon me, I see the truth in Amy’s words. Trauma leaves no room for control. The bad things happen despite every effort to prevent them.
Survival isn’t voluntary. It’s adapting, responding, and figuring out how to keep going in the face of chaos. Amy captures that reality with clarity and focus.
Thanks so much! Welcome to team The Final Countdown (that's just a suggestion, we don't have an official name yet - recommendations welcome). Things are relatively calm now, so why not save our strength if/when there's a battle ahead. In the meantime, I heard there's coffee, donuts and chocolate cake! XO 🥰❤️
It has to all fall apart before it starts anew. Isn’t that how all this crumbling and rising Phoenix works? Most days I’m thankful for the prep the last 5+ years has given. You’re ready, Amy. 🖤

I actually bake donuts too. Bought a pan a few years ago.
Ooooh, yes we make a donuts party!
Ooooo…..
Ha! I was a Queer Girl Scout. What can I say? :).
Donuts all around! Improv is best, Amy. We are writers. Make it up. lol.
And yes, Improv is great.
No Scouts in Germany, but I would have loved to be one. I was "Schülerlotse" instead, best I could get in that department.
Not familiar with the term. Translation, please?
School Crossing Guard for the little ones in primary school. You wore a uniform of some kind and had this cute thing police men have to control traffic with. I felt sooooo important.
💛♥️💛
Wonderful... may I have the seat next to you, when Germany also goes nuts?!
Ha! Sure, Jay. Bring snacks and knock knock jokes. Will your cat be accompanying you?

Welcome, Monty! 🐾💛 and Jay.
Ark of Loving Kindness and Bread!
YES TO ALL OF THIS!!! We'll ride it out together with chocolate and coffee :) Xoxo
Yay!!! I approve of this message 👆❤️🥰
I'm in! Pass the donuts!
Everything is better with donuts 🍩🥰❤️
YESSSSS!!!
Yes, Amy. Will you be on my apocalypse team?
I thought that was a given Bonnie! XO 🥰❤️

Hi Amy,
This was helpful to read today. Thank you. And I'm very sorry your husband died. Cancer is such a thief.

Absolutely Amy.

Good luck and may your god go with you.

Fasten your seatbelts, it’s going to be a bumpy ride

I will always welcome you with open arms Mary. Emotional support beverages ✅. Carry on and stuff our faces with donuts. Love you! XO 🥰❤️🥰❤️
So incredibly well said. Your strength is an inspiration.
Thanks Cici! I’ve been thinking about you. I hope you’ve been able to get some rest and are feeling better. XO 🥰❤️

Thank you.
Thank you! How are you holding up? We will survive, or we won't. But right now is pretty good.
We WILL survive. We have plans for the future.
I stand corrected. Thank you 🥰

(I’m channeling my inner Emily Dickinson.)
That's some very good channeling!
Recording the audio helps me find any grammatical errors. For everything else there's spell check.
I’m probably just doomed to typo, but somewhere between a quarter and a half of my typos are fights with autocorrect. I write something. Autocorrect waits until a nanosecond before I hit send and changes it to something weird. Then it’s too late.

I will use the pseudonym "Helena Handbasket" and I will bring cheese and wine. And folded meats!
You're sitting up front with me Ms. Handbasket! Let the folded meat eating begin! XO🥰❤️

Yes, 100%! To quote Taylor Swift, "Fuck the patriarchy."
I have commented with an alternative idea on the notes part because I wasn't able to add a video here....
Let’s get the shit done. Thanks, Amy. You make strength sexy. (And I will make chocolate cake as often as needed.)
… as often as needed. (my phone keeps truncating my replies for some reading. No doubt user error. Xoxo)
I have such a hard time on the app! I think in my case it's my bad farsightedness that messes me up. Of course you would be on our team no matter what, but I never say no to chocolate cake XO 🥰❤️

We are ready Shaista! Let's light it up 🔥 and rise from the ashes. We've got more than ten years of prep between us. XO 🥰❤️
